We are delighted to announce that City of Kawartha Lakes, the second largest municipality in Ontario, Canada, has renewed its contract with PRIME BPM Software for another three years, reaffirming its commitment to business process excellence and service optimization. This extended collaboration marks a new milestone in the City’s continuous improvement journey, focusing on deeper process maturity, operational efficiency, and enhanced service delivery.
Since embarking on this transformation, City of Kawartha Lakes has made remarkable progress in streamlining operations. In the first phase, the City built over 154 process libraries across its 50+ service areas, creating a centralized and structured approach to process documentation. Before implementing PRIME BPM Software, the absence of a central repository resulted in scattered Standard Operating Procedures, duplication, and inconsistencies. With PRIME BPM Software’s support, the City successfully mapped critical processes, identified inefficiencies, and unlocked automation opportunities to modernize manual workflows.
Notably, PRIME BPM Software played a pivotal role in preserving knowledge management during workforce transitions. When a key employee retired, the City was able to swiftly document and retain their processes, ensuring seamless continuity.
“PRIME BPM has been instrumental in helping us standardize and centralize our process documentation, allowing us to visualize and optimize workflows across our organization. Their expertise and support have enabled us to identify critical improvements, modernize processes, and enhance service delivery. We look forward to continuing this journey and taking our business process management capabilities to the next level.” – Brenda Stonehouse, Manager, Strategy and Innovation, City of Kawartha Lakes
With this renewed three-year contract, City of Kawartha Lakes is set to expand its process mapping initiatives through an enhanced Mapping as a Service agreement, allowing PRIME BPM Software to map 10 new processes per month. This sustained momentum will support ongoing standardization and optimization efforts. In the short term, the City aims to onboard more employees onto the PRIME BPM Software platform, ensuring easy access to process documentation and fostering greater engagement.
“We are honoured to be part of the City of Kawartha Lakes’ ongoing commitment to continuous improvement. Their focus on driving operational excellence aligns perfectly with our mission, and we look forward to supporting them in unlocking new levels of innovation.” – Mark Khabe, Co-Founder, PRIME BPM
Looking ahead, the long-term focus will be on leveraging PRIME BPM Software’s Analyze and Improvement modules to quantify opportunities and manage process improvement projects strategically.
